Service Description

Structured conversation German classes are suitable for those who have knowledge of the present, future & past tenses. We keep up to date with current affairs in the German speaking world, as well as discuss topical issues in the target language. This is around the B1 level of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages OR equivalent to the first year of A-level. The group follows a B1 German textbook to structure the lessons. If you're a bit rusty, you will regularly revise key tenses and go over other key grammar to remind you of the four cases, adjective endings and other essential information. In addition, you will learn some core higher level phrases & structures to make you sound like a native; this course is all about the speaking and using more authentic reading and listening material. We also use a Grammar & Translation Workbook to keep your grammar up to scratch! The cost is £125 per person for 10 x 1 hour lessons. A non-refundable £25 deposit is payable on booking, with the remaining amount payable by 29th December 2025 (more flexible payment offers available). Lessons take place at The Hermit Inn up at Burley Woodhead in Burley-in-Wharfedale. NB: There are 10 sessions in total over 12 weeks, with a break for half term on 12th & 19th February 2026; the last lesson is on 26th March.
